Thursday Thirteen: 13 reasons why I'm so happy today

Today's TT comes to light because I am in the best mood ever!!! I have so much to be happy for but one thing in particular has made me absolutely ecstatic. I am going to do a countdown Thursday Thirteen saving the best for last.

I am happy because...

13) I have a great job and work with great people

12) I have lost 20lbs and am happy with the way I look

11) I have more confidence in myself then I have had in a long time.

10) I have had an awesome summer.

9) I have Labor Day off from my 2nd job at the restaurant I work at part time (I was worried about that, but I found out, I'm off from both jobs WOO HOO!!!)

8) I have taken the first steps in completing some of my goals I set out for myself.

7) I have met some new great people this past year that I hope will be around for a long time.

6) I have a review next week and from what I can tell, I think a raise might be coming (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!)

5) I have friends that don't judge me for my silly little quirks.

4) I have the best 2 brothers & sister a person can have. I'm so proud of you guys!!!

3) My mom though I love her immensely is gone for 5 weeks and I feel like I'm living on my own again.

2) I have the greatest, best friend a person can have, who is kind, thoughtful, caring and just damn FUNNY. Thanks MELISSA!!!

and the number one reason that I am so Happy today...

1) I got to meet my childhood idol Donnie Wahlberg last night.

I know DORK!! That's ME but you have to understand when I was 14 I was THE HUGEST NKOTB fan. You couldn't see my walls or ceiling in my room, and Donnie was my FAVORITE hell I had our wedding all planned out. I have followed his career and said no matter what I would always be a loyal fan and I still am, plus not many people get to say they got to meet their childhood idol well guess what I can (WOO HOO!!)

I will post the whole story, including the other pictures I have. Oh and I met Jordan Knight too but he was well not so nice.

Great TT! I loved reading such a fun, upbeat post. What type of job do you work at? And I'm sorry to be so ignorant, but what does NKOTB stand for?

What an uplifting list! Thank you for the reminder.

My teen idol took a smashing dive off the pedastal, so I wouldn't care if I met him, George Michaels. When he shaved his head, it was over, then all the other stuff.
Great list.

The pic of you and Donnie is awesome! I just recently got around to watching "Band of Brothers," and he did a great job acting in that.

I'm part Greek too. And my husband's grandmother was Finnish/Swedish. So we have something in common. :)

Congratulations on everything! It sounds like you have good reason to be happy :-)

My 13 is about romantic books this week and starting Sun, I will be featuring a chapter from a free romance story each week.

OMG! How cool! I was a huge NKOTB fan as well. My dad even sat outside at 5am with me so we could buy concert tickets. I was 11 or 12 when I had my walls covered with their faces...I liked Jon and Joey....but I liked Donnie too!

Oh, my dear screaming Melina!! How well I remember that concert that I drove you guys to. It was the noisiest evening of my life! Ya know tho, Donnie has grown up to be quite a HUNK! He is soooo much more fun ;o) to watch now than way back then. As a matter of fact, I just might decide to stalk him myself. Although in the picture, he does look like he is terribly intersted in you!!!
Love ya kiddo, glad you got to meet him finally.

That's so cool! Joey was my favorite NKOTB. I think I had our wedding planned out too...when I was in 6th grade. :)

I love your list! You've been through a lot. I'm happy that you are in the place you're in now.

Totally cool about meeting Donny. I met a famous person this week myself, Tracy Lawrence. Not as cool as yours but it will do.

Oh, what? Is it me or is he looking a little rougher than I remember? Where is his HAIR? Wah!

Wow!!! I'm so happy for you. I know, first hand, how madly you loved him when we were younger. I can't wait to read the whole story and see more pics!!
